Dear Families,
This weekend the B2B Boys traveled south to escape the cold weather with some hiking & swimming in warmer waters. Saturday morning we made breakfast, packed up both vans & started on our way down to Camp Verde. After driving down a 30-mile dirt-road we arrived at the parking lot & hiked the trail. We crossed over the icy river multiple times to reach the warm waters at Camp Verde Hot Springs. We explored the hot spring area for a couple hours then headed back for the vans to continue our trip south towards the White Canyon Wilderness.
It was dark & damp when we arrived at the canyon. We had some slight issues getting vans stuck in the wet sand. Everyone worked together getting the vans free, & we found a good spot to camp for the night. A couple of the guys helped cook dinner while others helped start a fire, others played cards & others conversed around the fire. Everyone had burritos for dinner then held a meditation around the fire before heading to bed.
Sunday morning the guys woke up, made breakfast & got cleaned up, ready to hike. We started on the trail & hiked up along side the river the entire time until we reached a waterhole where we did some swimming & cliff-jumping. After cooling off everyone scrambled to the top of the White Canyon mountains. After reaching the top we rested a bit & enjoyed the views before climbing down & making our way back towards camp. When we reached camp we snacked & rested for a bit before packing up & leaving for Flagstaff.
Overall everyone enjoyed the trip & had positive attitudes throughout the trek. Well wishes, warm hearts, & much love,
Sincerely,
The Boys
