Dear B2B Families,

We went on another memorable adventure this week. On Friday we gathered and talked about our weeks. We went through our intentions set at the start of the week as well as our intentions for the weekend. We learned the plan for the weekend and packed our bags, excited to go to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

The long drive North to the Grand Canyon was spent talking with each other and getting to know the newest member of the group. After we crossed the Colorado river we drove up the road from the desert to the Forest around the Canyon. We turned onto a dirt road and drove a long winding dirt road which eventually led to a beautiful campsite which overlooked the Grand Canyon. We all felt lucky to have scored such a perfect spot.

In the morning we cooked a large breakfast and packed lunches and a lot of water for the anticipated strenuous hike planned for the day. We got a late start to avoid the hottest part of the day. We hiked down North Kaibab trail with the end goal of reaching Roaring Springs. Parts of the steep trail were cut into the cliff side which made for some incredible views. The Springs consisted of several flowing waterfalls which made for a desert oasis. We all cooled off in the water and filled our water bladders with the cold spring water. We were grateful as we started the long and tough hike out of the Canyon. That night we enjoyed some ribs and fried potatoes at camp.

The next day we packed up and headed out of camp. We were on our way to the Park to do an easier hike in a different part of the Canyon when we had a problem with the van. We were forced to call for help on our GPS communicators. Someone came from Flagstaff and drove us back. While we waited we played cards and tried to make the most of an unfortunate situation. We were all grateful no one was hurt and we ended up getting back to town at a reasonable time.

All in all it was another fun trip and were looking forward to more.

Love,
The B2B Boys
