Dear B2B Families,

We set out on another grand adventure this weekend, headed to Fossil Creek for a backpack. Low and behold, the road into the Creek was closed due to the recent inclement weather. Our awesome outdoor guides quickly called an audible taking us to the Seven Springs area, just outside of Cave Creek, AZ. We arrived Friday about 4:30 and mobbed 3 miles to our campsite, a beautiful oasis of spring water and boulders. A few of the guys quickly changed into swimming attire and enjoyed some jumping off the tallest boulder into the water (about 20 feet tall). We settled in to get rest for the long day to come.

Saturday, we woke up, cooked some breakfast, and quickly set out on an 8 mile roundtrip hike. About midway through the hike, we came across a very large orange and black lizard. We identified it as a large and rare Gila Monster and quickly learned of its very poisonous venom. After taking a few pictures while keeping our distance, the loud hissing of the Gila Monster sent us on our way to complete the hike. We got back to camp just in time to see a storm rolling in and we all took shelter under our tents and over hanging boulders. The weather ceased for long enough to cook some food and then started yet again. We managed to get a fire going and shared some stories around the campfire before heading to bed.

Sunday was a beautiful day of clear skies and warmer weather. We spent the majority of the morning in the cold water doing cliff jumps and polar dips. Some of the other guys took the time to enjoy the sun and a good book. We decided to pack up around 1 and head back to the vans to move on to a new spot for Sunday night. We ended up at Dry Beaver Creek which ended up being quite a wet Beaver Creek. Our campsite overlooking the creek was atop of large cliff which afforded us enough time to set up our camp, get some food in us, and sit back and enjoy a gorgeous Arizona sunset. We then headed to Cornville for a very good meeting. All of the guys got a chance to share and really show up well for B2B. After the meeting we headed back to camp and all quickly went to bed after an exhausting yet enjoyable day.

We woke up early on Monday, had our community meeting, and headed back to Flagstaff. We did our typical De-rig of the vans, cleaning them to our higher powers satisfaction, and starting a great lunch. The boys all expressed what a great time they had and moral was definitely on high returning back to Hunter. We thank you all for your continued love and support and hope you have a delightful week. Come back next week for yet “another sober B2B adventure” overview. From all the guys here at B2B. We love you!!

Love,
The B2B Boys
