When I arrived at Back to Basics last July, I was in one of the worst places of my life. I was struggeling with extreme depression and anxiety also a raging alcoholic, pill, and meth addiction. I saw no way out and was completely hopeless. After about a month at B2B I realized my depression and anxiety was drug induced. But I had other defects come out that I forgot about, with therapy, AA meetings, and hanging out with my new friends I was able to overcome my defects and learn to love myself. I always knew I had the potential to be successful and happy but I simply could not stop using. Now I feel like I have learned the tools I need to be sober and live a successful life. Over all Back to Basics brought me out of a completely hopeless place and helped me to improve mentally. I made some of the most meaningful relationships of my life. I feel hope and have tons of confidence I can be sober as long as I use the tools I have learned here. I will be hiking the PCT trail next April. A goal I have always had but never could imagine being able to do.
