This week’s weekend trip yielded fun and adventure for all. The group stayed at hunter house and did several day trips instead of an extended excursion, which was a nice change up to the usual schedule. On the first day our generous program director took all the boys out to an all you can eat sushi buffet. A fun competition on who could eat the most was had and we ate till we could no more. Later that day we got pizza and watched movies.

On the next rising of our beautiful sun we embarked to a beautiful river in Winslow, AZ. A day of floating around and cliff jumping (not too high!) was much enjoyed by the boys. After yet another moon yielded to the prowess of the day we left our cozy beds in lieu of conquering the tallest peak in Arizona, the sacred Mount Humphreys. Once there we tackled the challenging 9.6 mile hike with ‘3100 feet of elevation gain. Peaking mountains is always satisfactory, but this experience was truly a breathtakingly awesome moment, capitalized by the amazing views of the worlds largest Ponderosa pine Forest, sprawling across the Northern Arizona section of the Colorado Plateau. After the seemingly timeless down climb, we retired back to Hunter House and had a highly therapeutic group, and alcoholics anonymous, perfectly wrapping our day up. A community group was had and another amazing weekend was spent.

Till next time parents, we love you all!
XoXo
