Hey B2B families!

Greetings from the front line! Our glorious battalions were once again victorious in the fight against addiction this weekend. This weekend we did an in-town trip. Our missions took place over a 3 day period. The first day we went to a place called a red mountain. This mountain is famous because it is where part of the planet of the apes was filmed. We spent our time there climbing the large cascading red rocks. In order to get to the spot, we had to walk 4 miles through a canyon that was carved from a volcano. Some of the trails were flanked by the volcanic glass. Once at the destination, we scaled the high red peaks and spent the day exploring the cases in which the sight was unreal. That night after returning we cooked steak and chicken taco with cilantro lime rice. On the second day, some guys went mountain biking around flagstaff, hitting 19 miles. It was epic! The other half of the guys went on a hike around the beautiful city of Sedona. After returning home that night we enjoyed each other’s company over the show Ozark. We ended the night with a meditation that was guided by medieval music. The guys then all discussed how the meditation made them feel. On the last day, we went to a place called Blue Ridge Reservoir. From there we spent the day hiking down a trail to find a spot in which we were all able to cliff dive. After swimming and diving for the day, we spent the rest of the day journaling about what our ideal world would look like. After discussing it for a while we left back to our home. When we got back we made burgers and then winded down by watching tv. Our last night we held an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting with the topic based out of the book the power of now. This is an amazing book holding secrets of inner peace. We discussed the mind and the power it has over addiction. All in all, this was a very informative meeting. We concluded the weekend as usual with the community in which we discussed all of our losses and triumphs. This weekend was enjoyed by the boys because we got to sleep in our own beds and eat good food.

Till our next great adventure,
The Boy
