We then got back to camp, the group split up into a fishing group and the dinner crew. The stay back crew prepared dinner prepared for the rest of the boys. We were fruitful in our efforts and dinner was prepared in a timely fashion. On the second day the boys ventured out two and a half hours to Ellison Creek, the area had plenty of things to explore. We hiked about a mile and a half in coming onto a lofty cliff jumping spot. The jump was about thirty-five feet give or take, and gave some significant hang time. More than half the boys jumped off the cliff into the water including our outdoor guide Mike. One of the boys even sent a backflip, he became infamous to the area as you will read about in a second.
After a few hours of chilling in the sun and sending some huge jumps, we went down the creek to find a spot to do a meditation. No matter how far we walked we always were with people so we just did a meditation in the thick of it. Despite the sideways looks, we had a decent meditation, the sound of the creek guiding us through. The group then came upon a gardener snake. We shared this experience with a little kid and he was so excited that he got to hold one. We then decided to head back to the cliff jumping spot and came upon a group of local yahoos, we just had to show them what we are made of (that is pure fun-loving sobriety). Mike gave us the go-ahead and on our way up, the group proceeded to ask us if one of us was the Infamous backflip guy. One of us was, they then asked if they were about to see one because of the spot one of us was jumping at, we told them yes. All of us jumped and after a bit of playful banter, we went our separate ways. After the long drive back, we all shared our journal entries and some stir fry which was delicious. The stars were illuminated on the canvas of the night sky which made it perfect to spot shooting stars which were a constant throughout the night.
All love
The Boys
