Dear B2B Parents
This weekend for our outdoor adventure we went to West Clear Creek in Sedona. On Friday we got everything we needed as a group to prepare us for the tremendous hike we had ahead of us. We made food bags for everyone, made sure everyone had their pots, burners, and stove tops along with their water, rain gear, headlamps and journals. We left the house at 1 and were on the road to our destination which wasn’t too long of a ride there. Once we got there we unloaded our hiking gear and circled up to Brief and double check gear. We started hiking on the 8 mile trail, being mindful of others and checking up on everyone to make sure everyone was ok and being safe. We made it to the end of the trail and set up camp by the water and ran an AA meeting. The next morning we woke up and everyone made breakfast on their own with the food bags the group provided. We circled up and told everyone about the hike to make sure they bring enough water for the hike. We started hiking around 10 and made stops at a couple water spots we thought were cool and went swimming, then continued our journey along the water until we came across a deep enough water spot to post up and do Sharing Is Caring and cliff jump. We took pictures as a group and solo pictures to send to our families. We stayed there for a couple of hours before we started our hike back to our campsite to make dinner and hangout. We went craw fishing and caught a lot of them in the water next to our camp and ended up cooking and eating them. The next morning we woke up and did a meeting and got our gear ready for a hike up the creek to the falls we went swimming there and ate lunch we hung out there for a couple hours and then headed back to swim at our camp spot and got our gear ready to hike out in two different groups to prevent large groups of people on the trail. We all met up on the trail at and ran an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. We came across the vans to set up one more time for the night and slept till the morning. We woke up and ran Community then packed all our gear and trash we left behind then headed on the road. Got back and de-rigged the vans, washed and cleaned them and put our things away, and now were eating lunch…
