Dear Families,

This weekend was family weekend. It started out with a meet and greet in the morning including the parents where everyone in the room went around and shared. One of our parents gave a great tear jerker of a share. After this we broke down into a smaller group as some of the boys went off to family therapy. Once the families were gone with their sons, we went to the gym, the bookstore, and finished off the evening watching the Invisible man at the local theater. The movie was very subpar in my opinion. Saturday morning, we were supposed to go to the lava tubes but the trail was closed down due to not being maintained for the winter months, we had an option to hike an additional five miles to the cave but did not possess the time. The families were going to be back to the house to soon. Instead we went to the gym for a couple hours. The few of us that weren’t with our parents this week went bowling where we all crushed the score board. One of our peers bowled a 147. We followed our experience with some panda express, and then hit an alcoholics anonymous meeting in town. It was a great night! The next morning, we went hiking on Bell trail, to the crack which was a fantastic swimming hole area. It was an easy three-and-a-half-mile hike in and 3 and a half back out. Sedona is an amazing area. There was a great section where we could climb up a rock face and jump off these cliffs into the water, a great time. After we got back to the vans, we went to hit an alcoholics anonymous meeting in Sedona. We came back to the house and the boys cooked street Tacos, the beef in these tacos was cooked to perfection might I add. The weekend was very productive in many ways. We miss you guys. Tell next time………
