Dear Families,

Friday we learned that we would all be taking solo trips this weekend for the opportunity to practice meditation, solitude and self-reflection. We then partook in some group therapy followed by cleaning before enjoying a wonderful dinner. Everyone got packed up for the trip and prepared for two days of being on their own before we came together one last time as a group to watch a movie.
Saturday we made burritos and cleaned the house before our departure. It took around forty minutes to drive to Sedona where our solo trips were to take place. Everybody picked out a nice little campsite and began their weekend. Over the course of the next two days we read books, worked on therapy assignments, wrote amends letters, went on solo hikes, cooked dinner, meditated and tried our best to learn how to relax and enjoy our own company in peace. Some found the experience quite enjoyable while others had a rough time with it.
Monday we got up, packed up and met up to head home. Everyone reflected on their time away from the group and how the experience affected them. When we arrived home we promptly began cleaning our vans and putting our gear away as neatly as possible. In other news, we received two additions to the group this week and they both seem to be fitting in quite well. Love you and miss you.
