Hello families, we had another great weekend in the outdoors. This weekend we returned to Lost Dutchman’s State Park to hike the Flatirons. On the way there we stopped at Rock Springs Cafe for one of the boys’ birthdays. We circled up and said birthday wishes for said boy. Then, we had banana cream, strawberry rhubarb, and chocolate cream pie. Oof! They were delicious. Then, we went on our way to the Superstition Mountains where we set up camp. There, we circled up in groups to discuss our lives moving forward and how to set ourselves up for success. The next day on Sunday we hiked up to the top of the Flat Iron in Lost Dutchman State Park which is about 2,300 feet in elevation gain! High above the city, upon the Flat Iron, one client shared his life story, having the boys enthralled in his experience. Slowly but surely us boys made it down the mountain back to camp. There we ate dinner and found ourselves asleep early, exhausted from the hike. The following morning we packed up at 5 and went to Sunset Point for community. Then after that came home to derig the vans and have lunch.
Love,
The Boys
