On Sunday morning we left for Phoenix. We arrived around 10 a.m. and started our adventure to the Superstition Mountains. It was a backpacking trip so we had everything we needed for the 3 days out there. We also had Aaron’s dog with us aka BIG MOMS so it made the adventure that much more exciting! The first day we hiked around 4 miles in to our campsite where we journaled, made dinner, and started a campfire and did our AA meeting. The second day we slept in a little bit then got up to go get some water to start the day off. We then hiked for about 2 miles then did our journal discussion (sharing is caring) at a rest stop. We then preceded to hike another 6 miles through the rocky, exotic landscape. It was a beautiful but an exhausting hike. It was well worth it considering we only had about a mile to go the last day. When we arrived a couple of the guys went to get wood for another fire. We all sat around and talked for a bit then cooked dinner and finished our night with a mediation meeting. On the last day we woke up around 6 a.m. packed up our gear and preceded to finish the remaining mile of the loop we had to finish off at the van.

Until next time,
