Dear Families,
This weekend we went to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. After setting up camp we split up into two groups and hiked partway into the Grand Canyon. Following the hike, both groups ran their own meetings. Afterwards we regrouped, had dinner, and then made a campfire. The next day we had a much appreciated later start. We drove back to the South Rim and rented bikes, which we rode almost 20 miles over a six hour period. We ended that day a similar way with a meeting, dinner, and a fire to ward off the swarms of wasps that inhabited our coolers.
All in all this trip was a well-deserved break from our normal routine, and there’s no doubt that everyone enjoyed themselves.
