Dear Families,

This weekend we headed for the White Mountains of Arizona. We started from the East Baldy Trail and headed to the West side. The first night we hiked about an hour until we found a beautiful campground to spend the night. We were not allowed to have fires because of fire restrictions, but we passed the time playing cards. We went to bed early for a good night’s rest before the next day of hiking. The next morning we hiked as close to the Baldy peak as possible, but we were not allowed to summit because you need permission from the native tribe to do so. We made our way another 5 or so miles to another beautiful campground. We got another night of early rest after the day of long hiking. We woke up around 8 the last day and took our time packing and cooking breakfast. We shared on the journal topic and went back and forth with constructive feedback. We hiked the final mile of the fourteen mile loop back to the van. We enjoyed the four hour ride home, entertained with productive conversation and catching up on rest. All in all, we had another fantastic trip full of brotherhood and valuable learning opportunities.

Sincerely,

The Boys
