Hello B2B Families:
We just got back to Flagstaff from a great week long trip in the Escalante-Grand Staircase National Monument in Southern Utah. The first day we arrived to an awesome swimming hole on top of a waterfall at Upper Calf Creek. The water was nice and cold and the views were spectacular as everyone enjoyed the natural pools and rock slides.
The next day we hiked in on the Boulder Mail Trail down into a canyon called Death Hollow. Shortly after crossing Maime Creek we arrived to our campsite at a bend in the canyon and within a small pine tree grove. We were surrounded by beautiful landscape, huge walls of white sandstone (apparently ancient sand dunes) and the pristine spring fed creek flowing through. The weather was super hot but we got to hike in the creek for most of the trip which turned out to be quite nice.
Our next night was spent next to an awesome pool with a waterfall we were able to swim under. One night we got to camp on a sandy shore next to the Escalante River which reminded everyone of the beach. This camp site was particularly cool because of the canyon wall being a 400ft sheer rock face hanging over us.
The last night we camped at Jacob Lake near the north rim of the Grand Canyon at 8000ft above sea level, a nice cool night. We wrapped up the day with a meditation meeting. Everyone was worn out after hiking over 20 miles and 5 days in the wilderness. Lots of fun, exhilarating, amazing views, and a trip we’ll never forget.
Much Love,
The clients at B2B
