Hey families,
Hello from B2B this is clients O and D. This weekend we went on a backpacking trip in Buckskin / Paria Canyon, located in Utah. The trip was a three day two night backpacking trip through the canyon. The trip took us down some amazing stretches of one of the most amazing canyons in the world. Buckskin Canyon is the longest known slot canyon in the world.
The trip started at White House Campground and the first stay we hiked roughly eight miles down the riverbed until we reached a confluence that entered us into the main Buckskin Canyon. The hike was flat but because of the sand and heat, it was a long slog.
Our campground was truly amazing as we were in an oasis with trees, bats and even a rattlesnake. The campsite was an elevated piece of ground located at a curve in the river which provided a wide area to camp. The walls of the Canyon were around 300 feet and made for a spectacular view and experience.
After the first night we set out on a day hike up the canyon. The canyon was extremely deep and narrow and made for an extremely unique sight. We decided to take a lot of breaks and had an awesome time talking, taking pictures and exploring.
We decided to hike most of the way out the way we came that night so that we could beat the heat and didn’t have to hike the full eight miles in the morning. The trip turned out to be mostly free from any issues or arguments and was definitely one of the most amazing locations that we get to go to here at B2B.
Love,
O, D and all of the Clients
