Hey there families,
Its clients D and T2 here! our most recent excursion brought us to the grand canyon. Although the trip began with a rough start, we pulled it together and had an overall successful trip. We arrived at about 11:00 AM and began with a 20 mile bike ride on the canyon rim. The sights were spectacular, and we all managed to complete the whole ride in a rather short period of time. Afterwards, we set up camp and had a delicious taco meal. The following day, we split up into two groups. Ours went to hermit’s rest and hiked to the dripping springs. After a 2.5 mile hike down, we rested at the springs. After the grueling hike back up, we went back to camp. The other group hiked Grandview trail. It’s a 6 mile round trip hike that features almost 5,000ft of elevation change.
Once back at camp we all had phenomenal veg meal. Later that evening we went to an AA meeting at the lodging area by the rim, we played some slack jaw dance off by the hotel which caused us all to implode with laughter as we tried not tense or move our jaws while committing to goofy dance moves. we watched the stars before bed and awoke the next morning made pancakes and packed out. Before heading back home we stopped at a nice viewpoint and did a 20 minute silent meditation. When we arrived back at the house we immediately derigged the vans and finished off the trip with some amazing Cathy’s corner coccinea.
Until next time!
