Our latest adventures as recounted by a client journalist:

Dear B2B loved ones,

Our last weekend trip was a lot of fun.  Even due to the fire restriction and having to be in town, we had a great time.  We hiked 10 miles up to the O’Leary lookout point.  It was an awesome view of all the inactive volcanoes that surround Flagstaff.  One of those volcanoes that had erupted the most recently, which was in the last 1000 years, had covered most of the surrounding area in volcanic ash, which we had an great view of the total surrounding area.

Afterwards, we drove to Wupatki National Monument and toured an ancient Pueblo Ruin, along with a quick trail formed from volcanic rock.  After that we all got to go to the gym and workout and swim in the newly opened outside pool.  On Monday we went to the Coffee Bean and journaled while enjoying some coffee and pastries.  Afterwards we went to the climbing gym for a few hours which was a blast.  Everyone participated and pushed themselves better then we have before.  Outside of the back of the gym, there was a slackline set up for people to walk on.  It was a lot harder than it looked.  It definitely tested your balance, but was a cool experience for everyone.  We got some great footage and pictures of that.  That evening during dinner we had a sharing is caring group, while eating we shared what on the gratitude lists we had written earlier that day.  Afterwards we had some extra time and decided to go to the NAU fields to play capture the flag which was super fun for everyone.  We played there for a few hours and it was a fun positive experience for everyone, along with a good cardio workout.

The next morning we went to the Lava Tubes which is a cave formed by an active volcano years ago that had moved underground and left behind a mile long cave that we got hike to the end of.  It was pitch black, chilly, narrow at some points, and slippery, but we all brought our headlamps with us which made it possible to see.  Once at the back of the tubes, we had a nice 10 minute meditation in complete silence and darkness which was a new and cool experience for everyone.  Overall it was an enjoyable experience getting to leave during the day, do fun activities, and still get the opportunity to come back and sleep in our own beds.  Looking forward to next weeks trip.
