This week we volunteered with the forest service again. The first day we hung out in town and played some football, volleyball and soccer. We cooked some tacos and ate candy and watched the new episode in season 8 of Game of Thrones that night. It was pretty intense. The next day we went and worked with the forest service to close some roads and help stop erosion. Then we journaled about how vulnerable we were with our peers and staff, and if we weren’t being vulnerable we had to explain why. Next, went on a small hike and explored some lava caves. It was an amazing experience, everyone had a great time. That night one of the residents told their story to the group on what my life was like, what happened and what it is like now. We cooked some burgers and hot dogs for dinner that night. Overall it was a good day. The following day we helped the forest service clean up trash along the road and highway. It was a pretty short work day but picked up lots of plastic making the earth greener. After that we went and got coffee and talked about our journal topic. We then went back to the house and had a community meeting. It was hard work but we had a good time
