Hey Y’all,
Client “R” here, filling in for client “T”, he couldn’t join us this trip due to due to a medical condition so I’m here to tell y’all about our trip to the beautiful town of Escalante, Utah. The drive took roughly 7 hours but good tunes and good company kept us sane. We started the day off with a 6 mile hike along the Boulder Mail Trail BMT to our first camp site in a side drainage called as “Death Hollow”. Now despite the ominous and creepy name it had to be one of the most beautiful spots I’ve had the pleasure of seeing while at B2B. We were at the bottom of the canyon surrounded by massive cliffs and ponderosa pines on both sides.
When we woke the first morning we started heading up and out of the canyon over to another side drainage along the BMT called Mammie Creek. Once we made it to Mammie we set up our camp and did a little day exploring to a natural “arch” that was so breathtaking I actually feel like I’m still there as I am writing this. While at the arch the good-intentioned “shenanigans” were in full swing, from our guides being their “Normal” selves (LOL), to people running around the natural slick rock pool, while others climbed into a cave and screamed the “National Anthem” at the top of our lungs. All of these shenanigans made for an all around great day!!
The next day we did a van push for an option to explore another area of Escalante known as Devils Garden, where we discovered red rocks that were definitely a site to see. We decided to camp a little down the road from “Devils Garden” at a spot one of our guides knew for our last night in the field. Not gonna lie, I was a little bitter about leaving Escalante, but we all knew there was more work to be down back in Flagstaff. Hands down this trip was one of my favorite trips I’ve been on so far since being in B2B. Well y’all, that’s it for now. We all love y’all and appreciate the opportunity provided to us! You won’t be disappointed. This is client “R” again, until next time!!!
Sincerely,
Client “R”
